History of Kobe Henro
Belle
Belle, a yellow Labrador, was adopted at six months old from Sudbury-based, Buddy Dog Humane Society in 2001. Sweet and extremely good natured, Belle was the epitome of a family dog. She often joined the family for vacation road trips with her most memorable, the 2010 summer trip to Quebec when she managed to jump in and cool down in a variety of refreshing fountains throughout the province of Quebec.
Henry
Loyal, chill, and a tad mischievous, this handsome guy was rescued from South Carolina and later brought to Buddy Dog where he was adopted as a rambunctious eight week old. Given his culinary expertise, Henry was recently promoted to Director of Quality Control at Kobe Henro.
Rosita
Sweet and extremely intelligent, Rosita, a Sato, was rescued as a puppy from a deserted beach in Puerto Rico and brought to Buddy Dog in 2017. She loves toys, playing ball and hanging with her big canine brother, Henry.
Rosita, our Director of Public Relations greets everyone (human, canine and feline) with her signature, Happy Howl welcome.
Helaine Block
A longtime resident of Sudbury and a Newton native, Helaine has been an animal lover since her toddler days. Growing up in a family of animal lovers, it is no surprise that her three daughters possess the same love and passion for animals.
A former editor, publicist and dog walker, the time was ideal for Helaine to pool her skills and connections together and launch a non-profit to help hungry pets with food and treats.
Origin of our name Kobe Henro
Now that you have met the four dogs who were the canine inspiration for Kobe Henro, you may have noticed that portions of their four names have been merged together to form our new venture, Kobe Henro.
